Improve Your Website Design...Increase Sales!!

Hello Marketers,

I've been struggling with this message for days, I wasn't sure if it made sense to share this information with you since I kind of want to keep this product all for myself.

I found this diamond in the rough product the other day that's so sweet, it's hard to share with others. You know, like when you find a twenty dollar bill on the ground and you don't want to ask if anyone dropped it? I've got that kind of feeling when it comes to this new product, it is that good.

In a nutshell I had an epiphany the other day while trying to figure out how to make more money online.

Sure I've had a small success here and there, but I wanted to take my game to the next level. I looked at the writing on my site, that was fine. I checked out my domain, and advertising that seemed pretty good. Of course I believe in the product I am selling, but something was missing.

Serendipity strikes me 1 day later as I am searching the net for new innovative products, and I come across this killer e-book by this dude Ryan Jackson, an icon in the online graphic design business. He has designed for major internet marketers like Mike Filsaime, and has some awesome design talents.

His name has been associated with several million dollar products, and I was lucky enough to find this incredible e-book he has created.

In the e-book Dressed2Convert he discusses the art of a direct response graphic design, placement and marketing. It's brilliant, and truth be told, the missing link to what I needed to sell more products. I see this product and I start reading this e-book, and next thing I know my problem is solved.

Using the product, and enhancing my website with Ryan's expert tips and techniques I have seen an immediate spike in sales.
If you are looking for an edge, a way to separate your site from the crowd of other sites on the web, check out the link below. This product is so one of a kind, it's certainly helped me, and it can HELP YOU too!

Luckily the site above offers a wealth of information on a topic that has never before been written about in this manner, you got to get your hands on it today.

Bill Gates Asks, I Answer...

Question posed by Bill Gates at LinkedIn.com:

How can we do more to encourage young people to pursue careers in science and technology?
My Answer:

Present Them With Real Challenges! A steady diet of focused challenges would work greatly to guide todays young generation towards careers in science and technology. The huge popularity of the most successful video games is directly attributable to the challenge to reach the next level, where upon arriving, the player expects to face even greater challenges. The feeling of achievement one realizes with each successful transition to the next level is the driving force behind the games success.

It is often said that today's youth lack motivation to excel at anything that adds value to society. I feel the single greatest cause for that being apparent is the reduced interaction of the family as a core group. The family of today seems focused on individual gratification rather than performing as a group for the benefit of many. As both science and technology are more concerned with benefit for the masses, it is imperative that the youth be shown the value of doing things beneficial to many, and how those actions will provide a sense of accomplishment to them individually. The thunderous applause from an audience of thousands is much more rewarding than a single pat on the back from oneself.

As parents, it is my opinion that we are largely failing our children when we allow them to be subjected to a steady diet of cartoons fed from the TV. I am appalled at the content of the cartoons today. By and large, they present an erroneous perception of how issues and challenges are resolved in the real world. Children today tend to think there is a magic push-button solution for everything, as a result of watching these cartoons.

I feel that conditioning is very detrimental towards creating interest in careers in science and technology. If they are shown those methods to successfully resolve problems, where is the impetus to formulate solutions using science and technology?

Since a disproportionate amount of our parenting seems to focus on entertaining our children, I believe that is where the encouragement needs to start. The forms of entertainment we choose for our youth must have real educational value, and not just be a convenient babysitter. Young people are basically blank slates, what we provide for them as content to fill their slates, will become a permanent component of their very being.

We as parents are solely responsible to assure that our children receive exposure to only those elements conducive to forming an adult member of society whose goals are based on serving in a field of endeavor in which they have great passion. In so doing, they will without self-burden, contribute to society as a whole far more than we could ever envision.

In summary, we need to take the lead and be responsible. We must be proactive in demanding changes in every aspect of our lives that are tending to dumb-down the populace. Whether you want to believe it or not, it is an on-going agenda. Research and educate yourself continuously so that you are capable of making the best choices possible.

Final words of wisdom: We don't know what we don't know. Think about it!

A Business On A Silver Platter

What would you do if you were given the chance to own a franchise to one of the most successful lines of information products on the Internet today?
What would you do if you were given exclusive access to a non-stop factory of innovative eBooks, programs and scripts that you could sell for a profit any time of the day, any day of the week?
What would you do if you were given everything… EVERYTHING…that you would ever need to successfully run this franchise and make some gigantic earnings in the process?
What would you do if someone gave you a Business on a Silver Platter? Would you say No?? Nah....
I am asking these questions because they are what John Delavera is offering in his latest brainchild: the chance to have your own business with full technical, inventory and coaching support at a price that is lower than two pairs of jeans at Walmart.

Mandate 2007: Create Culturally Useful Products Part II

There are many things that can only be understood by those who reside in a specific area. What's more, when the people of a certain culture meet head-on with people from another culture, there can be a great deal of misinterpretation between them.
Using sociological jargon, this can be categorized as a cultural clash. This happens when people from separate cultures try to communicate ideas without taking into consideration, the cultural differences that exist between them. When we as online entrepreneurs take on the challenge of “globalizing” our business, it is essential that we always keep in mind the value of communication. Sound communication will solve most problems in your daily business.
The World Wide Web enables a global delivery of products and services, as well as enabling better communication among users from different cultures and languages from all over the world. Many efforts are presently being made to assist in the variations among Internet users, such as cultural conventions and languages. We, as Web businesses, have to involve ourselves in these efforts as well. Whether we design and develop our own sites, or whether we hire that out, we do need to be a part of the “creation of the model.” Specifically, if we really want our Web sites to be enjoyed and used by visitors from different cultures, worldwide -- we must adapt our sites to those users.
So what can we do to evaluate and optimize our products for approval in other cultures? Other cultures can adopt or reject the product that sells well at home -- consumers in assorted cultures may use a product in many different ways and different perspectives. The first thing that needs to be done, once you’ve analyzed the situation for a particular area, is to take that information to your Web site. In some cases, this won’t mean a lot of change. But in other areas, your site will most likely need substantial changes to meet the localized needs.
Many usability issues appear when our Web sites are accessed by users from other cultures. The thing we really need is “multicultural” Web sites which are very different from “multi-lingual.” This is rarely just an issue of language or translation -- we need something more “universally” usable.
Consider the impact of culture on the understanding and the use of your site. Pay close attention to your own culture orientations. This will lead to a higher understanding of the preferred structures and interfaces for other cultures. Analyze the preferences, needs, wants, and expectations of visitors from different cultures. This will be your pathway from just cross-cultural theories -- to a genuine cross-cultural relationship.
Think internationally! Decide whether it will be better for international users to visit your original Web site or a local one. Get to know everything you can about your users. Know their characteristics, environment, intentions, their typical levels of education, and their patterns of interaction. Take care when you decide about words or phrases, symbols, graphics, and colors. What is suitable for a western culture might have a seriously different meaning for users from other cultures.
Your best-practices solution would be to adapt your original site to accommodate as many different cultures as possible. Yes, a big task! But, once accomplished, your global doorway will present itself astonishingly well in your chosen locations.
When everybody involved in the product development and local branding has a basic understanding of the cultures of your particular locations, cultural literacy (we are knowledgeable and we trust our knowledge) will influence every important decision concerning the markets in your global areas. Cultural literacy could be defined as having developed the ability to stand in somebody else’s shoes, or to see and comprehend through his eyes.
These are evolutionary ideas for 21st century business!

Mandate 2007: Create Culturally Useful Products, Part I

It has long been recognized that language and culture have remarkable influence on business relations. How do you generate products that fit into dissimilar cultures, in numerous languages? How do you develop positive merchant/consumer relationships with today's diversity in cultures?

The world is quickly becoming more and more global in the sense that communities of diverse cultures begin to communicate more freely. Additionally, there are resources for communicating thoughts and ideas across cultures, such as television, the Internet and so on.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO (2002) described culture in this way: "... Culture should be regarded as the set of distinctive spiritual, material, intellectual and emotional features of society or a social group, and that it encompasses, in addition to art and literature, lifestyles, ways of living together, value systems, traditions and beliefs." This description will, of course, have huge impact on the products we create and sell online.

To add to the complexity, large societies often have subcultures, which are groups of people with distinctive sets of activities and beliefs that distinguish them from the larger culture, of which they are a part. The subculture might be unique because of the age of the members, or by their race, ethnicity, class or gender. The descriptions that establish a subculture as separate may be religious, aesthetic, political, occupational, sexual, or a mixture of these factors. As you can see, you, as an Internet business owner, have many choices. It is up to you, to see this as a massive blessing, or an overwhelming set of options!

With ownership of computers rapidly becoming commonplace, and Internet usage growing daily, online access is quickly becoming the primary entryway for information, shopping, and services. Additionally, those computer and Internet users are increasingly from non-English speaking areas of the globe. What does this mean for you, the digital businessperson? Is it now time to consider “going global” with your products? What will this mean, for updating and revamping your Web site?

Web site localization is the process of transforming an existing Web site to make it accessible and culturally fitting to a target audience. Web site localization is a multifaceted process that will need your programming expertise as well as some linguistic and cultural knowledge. Remember... culture affects everything we do, say, read, hear, and think. Even Web sites cannot break away from the influence of culture.

We are in a time where the Internet is coming into more and more homes. It is vital that businesses involved in the globalization of their company consider Web site localization and realize that they must begin with some useful cross-cultural analysis. Are you ready to begin giving some serious thought about expanding your business to a global marketplace?

We can all anticipate learning a lot from one other if we will only listen and learn. The world’s populations are not so far apart as they once were. We literally can visit anywhere, at any time! Every culture has its knowledge and all of us should begin to collect knowledge of every culture.

Confessions Of A Dumb Monkey

Confessions Of A Dumb Monkey
by John Colanzi

Sometimes I'm so dumb it amazes me. I know that I
should never fall in love with a program and I should
never get complacent with how I market.

I guess that makes me a dumb monkey.

So what do I mean by that?

There are some countries where monkeys are a delicacy.
More specifically their brains.

One of the methods they use to capture the monkeys is
to take a large jar and place a nut or fruit in the
bottom. Anything that the monkey likes to eat.

The top of the jar is just big enough for the monkeys
open hand to reach in and just heavy enough that the
monkey can't run with it.

When the monkey reaches in and grabs his little goody,
he finds he can't get his hand out. No matter how
hard he struggles, he can't pull his hand out.

Now this dumb monkey doesn't realize, that if he
let go of the prize he's clutching in his hand, he
could easily get his hand back out.

The same thing happens to online marketers. They find
a product or service and fall in love with it. They
promote it to the high heavens.

But no matter how much they promote, they can't seem
to make a sale. Just like that monkey that won't
drop the nut, they just keep pouring good money after
bad and refuse to let go.

The same thing happens with their marketing methods.
They fall into the trap of using an advertising
technique or marketing method that doesn't bring any
results.

It doesn't matter how bad the results are they just
keep throwing more money into the pot, hoping this
time it will work.

Man alive, they've become just as trapped as that little
monkey. They don't know when to let go. They've fallen
in love and keep spending money like a drunken sailor
on shore leave.

Do yourself a favor, don't be a dumb monkey.

If a marketing method isn't working, let it go and find
something that does.

If a product or service doesn't sell, let it go and
find something that will.

Smart investors know that secret. Many times the only
difference between a successful investor and a losing
investor is, the successful investor knows when to cut
his losses.

Your business can be the best investment you ever make,
but like any investment, you have to know when to
pyramid your profits and even more importantly when to
cut your losses.

Learn that lesson and you're on your way to success.

Work Less, Make More, With Autoresponders Part 2

Another specialized use of autoresponders is to create courses
that you can then offer your site visitors for free.

You must choose a topic in which you are an expert
and that precisely targets your potential customers.

Once you have carefully chosen your subject, divide it into
a number of different sub-topics. Then offer your site
visitor a free 10 or 15 or 30 day course, each day offering
a different sub-topic.

The first topic should always be a welcome message to your
site visitor and an explanation about what is to follow.

Your explanation should be enticing, getting the point
across that you are offering free, quality information
that your target audience will find of great value.

With every lesson, include the number of the lesson, the
topic title, information about your company and its
services or products.

At the end, include a few blurbs about the next lesson
to entice the subscriber to continue on.

Make sure each topic is packed with essential and valuable
information, and leaves the visitor lusting to know more.
Otherwise, you may lose them in the very beginning.

Of course, you have to write up your course before you can
offer it. Once you have done this, and gone over the
material carefully, employing a professional writer or
editor if necessary, you must transfer your text to your
autoresponder.

There are a number of autoresponders you can use.
Go onto Google and you will find a long list of
autoresponder companies.

The one I personally use and recommend is "MasterListTools.com".

Then sign-up for your chosen autoresponder.
Once you do, you will receive instructions as
to how to set it up and transfer your text.

of autoresponders from MasterListTools.com

Email is an excellent marketing tool.
It is inexpensive and it is fast. Use it to advertise your
business by choosing your email address carefully.

Your website should contain different email addresses
for different contact requests.

For example, use info@yourdomain.com for information
requests, or sales@yourdomain.com for questions about
sales.

It's a good idea to set up one for the owner, such as
firstname@yourdomain.com. This presents your company in
a personal, approachable light and insures that direct
contact is provided.

Autoresponders are an effective and powerful marketing
tool, allowing you to make contact with thousands of
potential customers.

This is an invaluable asset considering how many potential
customers you usually have contact with before you make an
actual sale.

Essentially, an autoresponser allows you to automate part
of your marketing campaign...which helps you "Make More
While Working Less".

Work Less, Make More, With Autoresponders Part 1

Working Less and Making More is very doable
especially in the Internet Marketing business.

By using technologies like autoresponders, you can
really duplicate your efforts many times over without
increasing your overhead expense while at the same
time working a lot less...

Answering Emails on a daily basis is one of those
necessary but tedious and time consuming tasks
which can overwhelm you.

If you've reached the point of exhaustion trying to
keep up with answering the mountain of emails that
threatens to bury you alive every single day, you're
ready to learn about autoresponders.

The bad news is that people expect prompt replies to
their email inquiries. However, unless you can figure
out how to work continual twenty-four hour shifts, or
hire enough people to constantly monitor incoming emails
(while they're eating up your revenue), you have a problem.

The good news is an autoresponder is an inexpensive method
of quickly responding to emails. What these programs do is
automatically respond to incoming emails as soon as they
are received.

Emails are essential to your business for many reasons.

Most importantly, these invisible email voices give you
their feedback about your website. However, if you spend
all your working hours answering these emails, how are
you supposed to run your business?

The answer is simple: use autoresponders.

Autoresponders are programs that automatically respond to your
emails without you so much as having to click on your mouse.

There are a number of good reasons why you need an
autoresponder besides just answering your email.

For example, autoresponders can be used if you need a way
to send information about your services or products, price
lists, or if there are repeated questions asked across large
numbers of emails.

Maybe you want to offer your site visitors a special bonus
of some kind, such as advice or relevant articles. All of
this can be handled by an autoresponder.

Additionally, you can advertise your business and then build
stable relationships with your customers thru autoresponders.

Autoresponder programs vary from software that runs with
your email program to a specialized script that runs on
your web hosting company's server or a third party software
running on the company's servers.

This kind of script may use a web page form or simply operate
with your email account. This kind of script is programmed to
send out a standardized message whenever an email is received.
The message is sent to a particular script or email address.

Some autoresponders can do more than simply send out
standardized messages. They can send out an unlimited
number of follow-up messages sent at predetermined
interval of time.

For example, you can set your autoresponder to send out a
new message every day for as long a period as you desire.

Your website hosting company often provides autoresponders
as a free service. If this is not the case with your web
hosting company, there are numerous companies who offer
this service for a small fee.

To personalize your autoresponder messages, you can attach
a signature. Signatures in this case are much like business
cards. You can include your name, company, all your contact
numbers and addresses, and a brief message.

It's a good idea to attach a signature to every email that
is sent out. This works as a repeated reminder of your
business identity every time a customer sees it. The more
they look at your signature, the more likely your company
will spring to mind when your particular service or product
is needed.

You can create a standardized signature that every person
in your business uses, or you can go wild, and let every
staff member create their own personal signature.

Of course, like everything in life, there are some rules
and guidelines to creating a personal signature.

Keep the length of your signature between 5-10 lines
of text, with no more than 70 characters in a single line.

Make sure that your email program does not cut off your text!

You may include your name, your company name, your email
address, fax number, and any other contact details, such
as 800 numbers.

Lastly, always include a short personal message about your
company. It should be a subtle sell of your services or
your products, and possibly your company's reliability
and longevity.

For more information on the autoresponder system
I personally use, you can go here...

For part 2 of "How To Work Less & Make More Using Autoresponders", I'm gonna share with you another excellent way of

using these autoresponders to simplify your life and enable you to work less & make more

Is your website Growing or Slowing?

Is your website Growing or Slowing? By: Paul Barrs

There are many ways to determine your website's success. The unfortunate part in this is that most website owners are completely unaware of what numbers they should be looking at on both a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

In a nutshell - the numbers tell the whole story.

First up, before you can begin to analyze your website's success ratios you must determine exactly what it's primary and then secondary objectives are.

EG. Is your website set up to take e-Commerce orders Online vs. Is it's goal to generate leads for sales follow up.

As a final outcome, one of these two options will most likely be your final measuring stick. That's easy to see and understand. However, there are also many other numbers you can and should look at to then help improve and increase your success ratios.

1. It begins with traffic. Next time you go into your website's statistics data area take a look at how much over all traffic you are getting. Next, look more carefully at your traffic to see whether it is "targeted" to your website with a high level of interest in what you have to offer, or whether it is just general "run of the mill - I found you by accident" traffic.

How can you determine this? Easy. First look at what search engine phrases people used to find you. If you're selling short stay accommodation packages for the north of Sydney and one of your top search phrases is "overnight accommodation north Sydney" then this is targeted. If one of the top search phrases is "family accommodation Sydney Australia" or "sandy beaches Sydney" then this is untargeted traffic.

Another key you can look at is the average time that your website visitors stay on individual pages, and also where they navigate through your website. As with most websites the highest pages views go to the main page - but where do they go after that? How long do they stay on pages? This allows you to determine if they are actually reading the content of your pages of just 'browsing'. Targeted traffic visitors always read the majority of the content of your information pages.

Once you have determined the percentage of targeted traffic to your website, you can then compare that to actual "sales". That could be either Bookings Online or Contact Forms submitted, depending on your goal and your set up.

2. Another area to look at which relates to long term success is how many of these people subscribe to either your free monthly e-Newsletter or your free email information pack. This is another very important number.

Calculate the percentage of visitors to your site vs. subscribers. If it's under 5% then you've got some serious work to do. Your goal here should be to obtain at least a 10% conversion ration to 'free contacts' where your visitors give you permission to send them future information.

If you find that your actual 'sales' conversion ration is low (under 5%) you may want to give serious thought towards boosting the profile of your free information services.

Once you've received permission to send a prospective client information by email and you then make sure they get good quality information, you can then keep them as a "free customer" for many years - which will eventually convert them to a paying customer.

3. Finally, you should set aside the time to review these numbers at a minimum each month and then make changes to your website accordingly.

A website on it's own it usually nothing more than a waste of time and money. Your site must be geared towards performance and results, not just free information. People love free stuff Online, and they will milk you for everything they can get.

My advice is that you capitalise on this 'freebie' mentality and use it to your advantage.

Autoresponders- Essential Business Tools

Autoresponders As An Essential Business Tool By: R.G. Srinivasan

Did you know that one of the major purposes of a website is to capture visitor information and create an effective

prospect list?

Do you also know you could write a newsletter or email broadcasts with important announcements and send it out to

thousands of people in an instant without spamming anyone. Did your web designer tell you the method to do it or

provide the software for it?

The most neglected aspect of millions of websites is an effective strategy to capture the details of the visitors

and following up with them frequently and convert them to sales.

With spam laws getting tougher, spamming bulk email lists is no more the option. The emails list providers harvest

the mail ids and put out attractive ads of millions of email ids which if you use will get you on the wrong side of

your customer as well as your hosting service provider. Further uninvited emails invoke a feeling of anger in the

receiver and there is not even a remote possibility that they would ever become your customer.

The key is your Optin list. An optin list is simply a list of web site visitors who have filled in a form at your

site and opted to receive information from you.

Building your optin list involves two steps. 1. Having a website. 2. Having an Autoresponder

Now you have learned to drive in traffic to your website. What happens to all that traffic? They just do a bit of

window shopping and move on even if they are interested as they may have other work to be attended to.

This is where, if you have a form asking them to leave their name and email ID in return for a subscription to an

ezine or a free ebook, comes in handy. They leave their details which is effectively giving you permission to mail

them further. This is the beginning of your optin list. Over a period of time as you drive traffic to your site, you

build up a list of thousands of targeted prospects. Note the word targeted as they have left their details due to

their interest in your product/service or business.

Now this form is sent to an external remotely hosted autoresponder or your own autoresonder system (ready software

are available for this) which immediately sends out a predrafted thank you letter acknowledging his interest with

the details of the download of your free eBook or confirming the subscription to the ezine or both.

There are personalization features built into any good autoresponder software which would automatically pick up the

first name of your prospect that has opted in. This helps in building a personal relationship and actually increases

the sales you make.

You can set up your autoresponder with pre-drafted emails packed with information on your products, announcements,

special offers or anything of interest to your customer you can think of. This makes your sales process a 24/7

system projecting a professional image.

These letters having been prewritten can be few in numbers or go up to even hundred letters. You have the

convenience of specifying the interval in which they should be sent by the autoresponder.

Research has conclusively established that you need a minimum of 7 follow ups for a conversion.

Now you have a fully automated system which takes care of your follow up without you having to lift a finger or even

touch your keyboard.

You also have the facility of sending special broadcasts or announcement in between your automated series. The

broadcast feature can also be used to mail your ezines or mini free eBooks, ebrochures or product catalogues.

The most important thing to remember in this is your letters have to be absolutely professionally written and very

powerful to induce conversion to sales. If they are boring or sloppy they would just opt out of the system by

sending an unsubscribe return mail to your autoresponder and you have lost the prospect forever.

It is best to have the letters professionally written if you think your writing is not powerful enough.

So now you know all about it, I am sure you can initiate some massive action to make your website a cash magnet.

You have heard the old saying ‘Content is King’.

Content is the text and images of your website.
The text is the most important for searches;
search engines like Yahoo and Google seek out
keywords and phrases that can only be found in
text content on websites.

Some people are confident enough in their own
writing ability to go ahead and write their own
content articles. More often, though, marketers
and webmasters either don't have the time or
the skills to write articles to load online.

Good News, You don't have to write
your own articles anymore.

Instead, you can get articles written by
talented writers and yes, you're allowed to put
your own name on these articles as the author.

That is why Cody Moya's YourOwnArticles.com was
created, to provide 250 Private Label Articles
within targeted niche markets.

Go there to find out 11 ways you could begin using
private label articles to jumpstart your business today.
