Work Less, Make More, With Autoresponders Part 2

Another specialized use of autoresponders is to create courses
that you can then offer your site visitors for free.

You must choose a topic in which you are an expert
and that precisely targets your potential customers.

Once you have carefully chosen your subject, divide it into
a number of different sub-topics. Then offer your site
visitor a free 10 or 15 or 30 day course, each day offering
a different sub-topic.

The first topic should always be a welcome message to your
site visitor and an explanation about what is to follow.

Your explanation should be enticing, getting the point
across that you are offering free, quality information
that your target audience will find of great value.

With every lesson, include the number of the lesson, the
topic title, information about your company and its
services or products.

At the end, include a few blurbs about the next lesson
to entice the subscriber to continue on.

Make sure each topic is packed with essential and valuable
information, and leaves the visitor lusting to know more.
Otherwise, you may lose them in the very beginning.

Of course, you have to write up your course before you can
offer it. Once you have done this, and gone over the
material carefully, employing a professional writer or
editor if necessary, you must transfer your text to your
autoresponder.

There are a number of autoresponders you can use.
Go onto Google and you will find a long list of
autoresponder companies.

The one I personally use and recommend is "MasterListTools.com".

Then sign-up for your chosen autoresponder.
Once you do, you will receive instructions as
to how to set it up and transfer your text.

Email is an excellent marketing tool.
It is inexpensive and it is fast. Use it to advertise your
business by choosing your email address carefully.

Your website should contain different email addresses
for different contact requests.

For example, use info@yourdomain.com for information
requests, or sales@yourdomain.com for questions about
sales.

It's a good idea to set up one for the owner, such as
firstname@yourdomain.com. This presents your company in
a personal, approachable light and insures that direct
contact is provided.

Autoresponders are an effective and powerful marketing
tool, allowing you to make contact with thousands of
potential customers.

This is an invaluable asset considering how many potential
customers you usually have contact with before you make an
actual sale.

Essentially, an autoresponser allows you to automate part
of your marketing campaign...which helps you "Make More
While Working Less".

Work Less, Make More, With Autoresponders Part 1

Working Less and Making More is very doable
especially in the Internet Marketing business.

By using technologies like autoresponders, you can
really duplicate your efforts many times over without
increasing your overhead expense while at the same
time working a lot less...

Answering Emails on a daily basis is one of those
necessary but tedious and time consuming tasks
which can overwhelm you.

If you've reached the point of exhaustion trying to
keep up with answering the mountain of emails that
threatens to bury you alive every single day, you're
ready to learn about autoresponders.

The bad news is that people expect prompt replies to
their email inquiries. However, unless you can figure
out how to work continual twenty-four hour shifts, or
hire enough people to constantly monitor incoming emails
(while they're eating up your revenue), you have a problem.

The good news is an autoresponder is an inexpensive method
of quickly responding to emails. What these programs do is
automatically respond to incoming emails as soon as they
are received.

Emails are essential to your business for many reasons.

Most importantly, these invisible email voices give you
their feedback about your website. However, if you spend
all your working hours answering these emails, how are
you supposed to run your business?

The answer is simple: use autoresponders.

Autoresponders are programs that automatically respond to your
emails without you so much as having to click on your mouse.

There are a number of good reasons why you need an
autoresponder besides just answering your email.

For example, autoresponders can be used if you need a way
to send information about your services or products, price
lists, or if there are repeated questions asked across large
numbers of emails.

Maybe you want to offer your site visitors a special bonus
of some kind, such as advice or relevant articles. All of
this can be handled by an autoresponder.

Additionally, you can advertise your business and then build
stable relationships with your customers thru autoresponders.

Autoresponder programs vary from software that runs with
your email program to a specialized script that runs on
your web hosting company's server or a third party software
running on the company's servers.

This kind of script may use a web page form or simply operate
with your email account. This kind of script is programmed to
send out a standardized message whenever an email is received.
The message is sent to a particular script or email address.

Some autoresponders can do more than simply send out
standardized messages. They can send out an unlimited
number of follow-up messages sent at predetermined
interval of time.

For example, you can set your autoresponder to send out a
new message every day for as long a period as you desire.

Your website hosting company often provides autoresponders
as a free service. If this is not the case with your web
hosting company, there are numerous companies who offer
this service for a small fee.

To personalize your autoresponder messages, you can attach
a signature. Signatures in this case are much like business
cards. You can include your name, company, all your contact
numbers and addresses, and a brief message.

It's a good idea to attach a signature to every email that
is sent out. This works as a repeated reminder of your
business identity every time a customer sees it. The more
they look at your signature, the more likely your company
will spring to mind when your particular service or product
is needed.

You can create a standardized signature that every person
in your business uses, or you can go wild, and let every
staff member create their own personal signature.

Of course, like everything in life, there are some rules
and guidelines to creating a personal signature.

Keep the length of your signature between 5-10 lines
of text, with no more than 70 characters in a single line.

Make sure that your email program does not cut off your text!

You may include your name, your company name, your email
address, fax number, and any other contact details, such
as 800 numbers.

Lastly, always include a short personal message about your
company. It should be a subtle sell of your services or
your products, and possibly your company's reliability
and longevity.

For more information on the autoresponder system
I personally use, you can go here...

For part 2 of "How To Work Less & Make More Using Autoresponders", I'm gonna share with you another excellent way of

using these autoresponders to simplify your life and enable you to work less & make more

Is your website Growing or Slowing?

Is your website Growing or Slowing? By: Paul Barrs

There are many ways to determine your website's success. The unfortunate part in this is that most website owners are completely unaware of what numbers they should be looking at on both a weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

In a nutshell - the numbers tell the whole story.

First up, before you can begin to analyze your website's success ratios you must determine exactly what it's primary and then secondary objectives are.

EG. Is your website set up to take e-Commerce orders Online vs. Is it's goal to generate leads for sales follow up.

As a final outcome, one of these two options will most likely be your final measuring stick. That's easy to see and understand. However, there are also many other numbers you can and should look at to then help improve and increase your success ratios.

1. It begins with traffic. Next time you go into your website's statistics data area take a look at how much over all traffic you are getting. Next, look more carefully at your traffic to see whether it is "targeted" to your website with a high level of interest in what you have to offer, or whether it is just general "run of the mill - I found you by accident" traffic.

How can you determine this? Easy. First look at what search engine phrases people used to find you. If you're selling short stay accommodation packages for the north of Sydney and one of your top search phrases is "overnight accommodation north Sydney" then this is targeted. If one of the top search phrases is "family accommodation Sydney Australia" or "sandy beaches Sydney" then this is untargeted traffic.

Another key you can look at is the average time that your website visitors stay on individual pages, and also where they navigate through your website. As with most websites the highest pages views go to the main page - but where do they go after that? How long do they stay on pages? This allows you to determine if they are actually reading the content of your pages of just 'browsing'. Targeted traffic visitors always read the majority of the content of your information pages.

Once you have determined the percentage of targeted traffic to your website, you can then compare that to actual "sales". That could be either Bookings Online or Contact Forms submitted, depending on your goal and your set up.

2. Another area to look at which relates to long term success is how many of these people subscribe to either your free monthly e-Newsletter or your free email information pack. This is another very important number.

Calculate the percentage of visitors to your site vs. subscribers. If it's under 5% then you've got some serious work to do. Your goal here should be to obtain at least a 10% conversion ration to 'free contacts' where your visitors give you permission to send them future information.

If you find that your actual 'sales' conversion ration is low (under 5%) you may want to give serious thought towards boosting the profile of your free information services.

Once you've received permission to send a prospective client information by email and you then make sure they get good quality information, you can then keep them as a "free customer" for many years - which will eventually convert them to a paying customer.

3. Finally, you should set aside the time to review these numbers at a minimum each month and then make changes to your website accordingly.

A website on it's own it usually nothing more than a waste of time and money. Your site must be geared towards performance and results, not just free information. People love free stuff Online, and they will milk you for everything they can get.

My advice is that you capitalise on this 'freebie' mentality and use it to your advantage.

Autoresponders- Essential Business Tools

Autoresponders As An Essential Business Tool By: R.G. Srinivasan

Did you know that one of the major purposes of a website is to capture visitor information and create an effective

prospect list?

Do you also know you could write a newsletter or email broadcasts with important announcements and send it out to

thousands of people in an instant without spamming anyone. Did your web designer tell you the method to do it or

provide the software for it?

The most neglected aspect of millions of websites is an effective strategy to capture the details of the visitors

and following up with them frequently and convert them to sales.

With spam laws getting tougher, spamming bulk email lists is no more the option. The emails list providers harvest

the mail ids and put out attractive ads of millions of email ids which if you use will get you on the wrong side of

your customer as well as your hosting service provider. Further uninvited emails invoke a feeling of anger in the

receiver and there is not even a remote possibility that they would ever become your customer.

The key is your Optin list. An optin list is simply a list of web site visitors who have filled in a form at your

site and opted to receive information from you.

Building your optin list involves two steps. 1. Having a website. 2. Having an Autoresponder

Now you have learned to drive in traffic to your website. What happens to all that traffic? They just do a bit of

window shopping and move on even if they are interested as they may have other work to be attended to.

This is where, if you have a form asking them to leave their name and email ID in return for a subscription to an

ezine or a free ebook, comes in handy. They leave their details which is effectively giving you permission to mail

them further. This is the beginning of your optin list. Over a period of time as you drive traffic to your site, you

build up a list of thousands of targeted prospects. Note the word targeted as they have left their details due to

their interest in your product/service or business.

Now this form is sent to an external remotely hosted autoresponder or your own autoresonder system (ready software

are available for this) which immediately sends out a predrafted thank you letter acknowledging his interest with

the details of the download of your free eBook or confirming the subscription to the ezine or both.

There are personalization features built into any good autoresponder software which would automatically pick up the

first name of your prospect that has opted in. This helps in building a personal relationship and actually increases

the sales you make.

You can set up your autoresponder with pre-drafted emails packed with information on your products, announcements,

special offers or anything of interest to your customer you can think of. This makes your sales process a 24/7

system projecting a professional image.

These letters having been prewritten can be few in numbers or go up to even hundred letters. You have the

convenience of specifying the interval in which they should be sent by the autoresponder.

Research has conclusively established that you need a minimum of 7 follow ups for a conversion.

Now you have a fully automated system which takes care of your follow up without you having to lift a finger or even

touch your keyboard.

You also have the facility of sending special broadcasts or announcement in between your automated series. The

broadcast feature can also be used to mail your ezines or mini free eBooks, ebrochures or product catalogues.

The most important thing to remember in this is your letters have to be absolutely professionally written and very

powerful to induce conversion to sales. If they are boring or sloppy they would just opt out of the system by

sending an unsubscribe return mail to your autoresponder and you have lost the prospect forever.

It is best to have the letters professionally written if you think your writing is not powerful enough.

So now you know all about it, I am sure you can initiate some massive action to make your website a cash magnet.

R.G. Srinivasan is a managerial professional, Writer and author. He writes a blog on home-business at

promotional strategies.

Content is the text and images of your website.
The text is the most important for searches;
search engines like Yahoo and Google seek out

Marketing Benefits of Using RSS Feeds for Business

Perhaps you still don't realize or fully understand the power of RSS Feeds as a marketing tool.

After all, email works fine, doesn't it?

Unfortunately, the truth is:

1. It's getting harder to send e-mails to the prospect's inbox because of SPAM filters

2. People are getting numbed by the amount of e-mails they receive everyday

3. People are not reading their e-mails

4. It's getting harder to get people to opt-in or subscribe to your newsletter or content.

With RSS feeds, this changes the playing field:

1. RSS feeds can bypass email - Eat your hearts out! Rss feeds can be read by desktop software and delivered right to your prospect everytime they turn on their PC

2. RSS feeds allow you to syndicate content rich news in your niche market and attract targeted prospects

3. People who subscribe to newsfeeds are generally in the higher income bracket and educated. They want to find news and information to solve their problems. Can that person be YOU?

4. E-mail doesn't allow you to brand yourself all over the Net. With RSS feeds, your content gets circulated/sydnicated and you can brand yourself as an expert.

5. RSS feeds can be submitted to RSS feeds directories, which will list your site within 24 hours which measn more traffic for you

These are just some of the few examples of the use of RSS feeds you can use in your marketing.

Why Bother To Proofread?

The Single Biggest Reason Why You Absolutely Must Proofread
Your Writing, Plus 10 Hints To Help You Do It Better
- By Nona Langley
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The single biggest reason why you absolutely must proofread
your work is a very simple one:

Money.

The old adage about only getting one chance to make a first
impression is seldom more important than it is with the
written word. Get it wrong and it will cost you.

Imagine this - it's a hot day. You've been outside playing
sport, doing the gardening, or running with the dog.
Whatever it is, you're hot! You grab your favorite drink
from the fridge, put it to your lips and feel the cold
liquid gurgling down your throat, refreshing you. Ah,
what bliss. But then, suddenly, something catches in
your throat and you cough, spitting out your drink.
Aaarrrrggghhh! A fly! Suddenly the wonderful refreshing
feeling isn't so wonderful any more, is it? All because
of a tiny little fly. Spoils the experience, doesn't it?

Or this - you're in a theater listening to your favorite
classical piece. Someone plays a wrong note. Kinda wakes
you up doesn't it?

What happened in both of these cases is that a process
which should have been smooth suddenly wasn't, and it
spoilt the experience.

What's this got to do with writing? Everything! Whatever
you write, you write for one purpose and one only. To get
YOUR idea from YOUR HEAD into SOMEONE ELSE'S. Nothing else,
that's it.

Now, you'd have to agree, the smoother that process, the
less friction, the better the result. Pretty clear isn't
it?

And in most cases, either directly or indirectly, sooner
or later, a "better result" means more money. When you're
trying to get something across - a sales letter, a thesis,
a novel, a business proposition - you simply can't afford
to interrupt the flow with unnecessary friction.

You must not put a fly in your reader's drink!

You must not play the wrong note when you're playing him
your sales melody!

It's a funny thing, proofreading. Readers will never say
"wow, that book had no spelling mistakes." A well-written
book, web page, article, whatever, will convey its message
without "friction." But a book, web page or article with
errors will be just like the fly, or the wrong note. The
flow of ideas will be disrupted just as surely as if you
had slapped the reader round the head . . .

And you just can't afford that disruption, because it
WILL cost you money!

Want a real, live, recent example? Within the last two
weeks, two people emailed me asking for work as a
proofreader. Presumably they want to make some money
at it. Both emails had spelling mistakes! How do you
think THAT affected their income? Big time!

Here are ten hints to help you with your proofreading:

1. Read widely and often. I doubt if there are any good
proofreaders in the world who do not read many, many books.

2. Use the spell checker. Don't rely on it, but use it
as the first step. Remember it will only check correct
spelling, not usage.

3. Don't try to correct on the screen. Print it out,
take it away from the computer and correct the hard copy.

4. Read the passage out loud. Remember, you have written
it to take an idea from your head to someone else's.
Test it! Use small pauses where you have a comma, larger
ones where you have a period. See if it sounds right.
We're not necessarily talking about schoolroom-perfect
punctuation here (well, mostly - sometimes it's critical).
Remember the only purpose of punctuation is to help get
that message to the other person. Reading out loud will
also help you spot missing or doubled words.

5. Correct it by proofing backwards. Read each word from
last to first to check spelling. That way you won't miss
a word because you got carried away by your own message!

6. Never correct your work immediately after you have
written it.

7. Avoid proofreading your own work, if you can. The
same mental processes which went into composition are
the ones you will use to correct your work.

8. Check and double check any company names, telephone
numbers or other factual information. Many advertising
pieces have been written with an incorrect contact
telephone number. That WILL cost you money!

9. When you think you've finished, run the spell
checker again to make sure you haven't slipped another
error in.

10. Last of all, seriously consider hiring a proofreader.
I happen to believe that it's almost true (not quite,
but almost) that good proofreaders are naturals. You
either have it or you don't. My husband is a smart cookie,
but can't proofread to save his life! If you know you're
a lousy proofreader, save yourself some pain and find
someone who can do the job properly.

Remember that it's all about getting an idea from YOUR
head into SOMEONE ELSE'S head. Without the friction,
the flies and the bad notes!

Good Luck!

How to Use Barter to Increase Revenue & Generate Good Will

I will show you how I manage to get dozens of products
without spending cash out of my pocket.

Very few people talk about this strategy for getting free
products. You don't even need to have your own product or
any name recognition to use these methods.

All you have to do when you want something without paying
for it in cash is to give the product owner something else
in exchange.

You will not ever get something without exchanging
something else for it. What people fail to realize is that
you don't have to always exchange cash.

What most successful business owners do is they invest a
percentage of their profits into their business. They buy
either advertising or more products to educate themselves.

A business needs fuel in order to grow. That fuel can come
from either advertising or more time diligently devoted to
growing the business.

As a product owner, I like to make more money in order to
add fuel for my business. Yet, what's better is if I can
skip the process of getting that money and instead get the
fuel instead.

What I mean is that if I can trade my product for
advertising or for help in the daily tasks of my business I
would be glad to exchange my product directly for that fuel.

Here's where you come in. Remember you don't need a product
to do this.

If you have a product, you trade it for the product that
you want which someone else has. If you want web hosting,
you and you have a membership site, you can give the web
host free admission into your site so the web host can
learn from you.

Now here's the problem. If you don't have any products or
you have a product which is not usable by the web host,
then you won't be able to exchange products. What you CAN
do instead is to exchange your labor.

I mean you can work to earn your product. Oh, I know you
don't want to hear that word but there's no such thing as a
free lunch.

If you don't have cash to pay for a product then you must
be willing to do something for the product owner in order
to get that product.

You can do quite a few things to save the product owner
time, and increase their productivity. You can create
graphics for them, write articles, get them joint venture
partners, get them linking partners, make some posts in
forums in their favor, create a mini-ecourse for them to
promote their product.

If you do these things and strike up a deal with the
product owner, you're assured to get on their good side.
Not only will you get a product in exchange for your work,
you will get a potential joint venture partner down the
road.

All it takes is a simple email or two to show the product
owner what you can do for them. You can use this barter
method to get products without spending cash for them.

Get started now!

Gary Huynh has created an automated system to allow product
owners and non-owners alike to trade whatever they have for
products. Visit his new site to see how you can get
products for absolutely no cash.

Using Articles for Content

Have you ever considered using articles and reports as a fresh source of content for your blog or marketing website? These can be written either by you, or by a third party. They should be pertinent to the subject of focus of your site, at least vaguely.

There are many sources for articles, which a quick search will provide hundreds if not thousands of results. Some you can use for free, others may require a small fee to publish on your site. The primary factor to consider in choosing an article is quality. After that, relativity is most important. You don't want to distract the visitors to your site with an article that leaves them scratching their head and wondering why in the world you posted it there.

Many of the article providers offer RSS feeds. You can select specific authors, or subjects to have fed to your site. You should choose to receive feeds on a regular basis, at least every third day, every other day is even better. The more often your content is updated, the better the search engines like it.

I will have more info and specific references in future posts. For now, go do a search and see what you can find.

If by chance you don't already have a website, you can get your domain name and hosting at http://www.jjdomains.com

Perhaps you will find an article available on a subject of interest to you. In that event, you can start a site with third party authored articles, then occasionally write something of your own. You may find you enjoy it.

'Til next time, keep on marketing!

Marketing With Your Blog

Do you use your blog for any form of marketing? Even if you use it primarily as a personal log, you can still gain some benefit from doing a minimal amount of marketing on it.

Just a simple link to one of your affiliate websites could have surprising results. Because blogs are so popular with the search engines, as long as you post new content daily or at least weekly, you stand to attract free traffic. That could possibly mean a click on your affiliate link, and maybe a purchase.

It would naturally be best if you had a link to a site that was somewhat related to your blog content. Take for example, if your blog is a simple personal journal, you could link to a website such as Ancestry.com. In that case, perhaps your visitor came to your blog simply because they share the same last name as you. A link to Ancestry.com might get their attention because they would like to find out if perhaps they are related to you.

If you are not doing some form of marketing on your blog, no matter how simple, you are giving up potential income. A link to a popular site makes your blog more attractive to the search engines also. If you happen to use your affiliate link to that site, you might be surprised to actually get a check from them for the first time, just because of that one simple link. If you keep your content constantly updated, you will get traffic from the search engines.

If all goes exceptionally well, you could find yourself earning enough affiliate income to offset the rising cost of gasoline!
